According to Microsoft, here are some of the new features of Windows 10, the new operating system for personal computers, smart phones, laptops and tablets:
Microsoft Edge is a new browser and the only browser that lets you take notes, write, doodle, and highlight directly on webpages. Then you can save and share your handiwork in all the usual ways. Reading list gives you a place to save articles or other content you want to read later.
Cortana is a new voice controlled digital assistant. Cortana will help you find things on your PC, manage your calendar, track packages, find files, chat with you, and tell jokes. The more you use Cortana, the more personalized your experience will be.
The Start menu is on the taskbar. You’ll find your most used apps on the left, the All apps list, and shortcuts to other locations on your PC, like File Explorer and Settings.
File Management. OneDrive is free online storage that comes with your Microsoft account. Save your files there and you’ll be able to get to them from any PC, tablet, or phone. Files you save to OneDrive are available online at OneDrive.com and offline on your PC. That means you can use them anytime, even when you’re not connected to the Internet. When you reconnect, OneDrive updates the online versions with changes you made offline. Offline files come in handy when you’re stuck without Wi-Fi.
